Case Study: 2017 Tesla Model X
Today’s case study is a 2017 Tesla Model X, in Deep Blue Metallic.
This car belongs to a long term client of mine, who has been with me for over 6 years now.
He had entirely different cars back when he first started using my service.
This is the perfect example of a business relationship built entirely on trust.
Of course, this type of client — and I have a few like this in my books — gets absolute priority when it comes to having any of his cars cleaned.
(True story: one time, I went as far as cancelling a new customer’s appointment because one of my special clients had an emergency. The new customer didn’t like this one bit, but it was a small price to pay compared to not being there for my long term client.)
In fact, he was the very first person I contacted right after the New Year, asking him if he wanted us to take care of his cars before anyone else.
Now, being a very busy person, he appreciates this kind of reminder, and immediately jumped at the opportunity.
And, because his cars get taken care of on a regular basis, they never even have the chance to get too dirty.
(You’ll see in the following pictures that it was more of a situation where we had to gather and put away personal belongings left in the car than cleaning actual dirt.)
On a side note, this also means that when he will sell or trade-in any of them, their value will be much higher than that of similar cars, but which have not been maintained this way.
And, even though a car is not really an investment, any car owner can reduce the typical depreciation by having this kind of “investing mindset” when it comes to their cars.
Clean My Car to the rescue…
As you can see, the exterior is in pretty good condition.
Even with that, there was still a noticeable improvement after the cleaning session was completed. (We also waxed the paint, to make shiny and glossy, just like a new car would be.)
The interior was a different story…
When you spend time in a car, especially with other family members, dirt gets dragged inside no matter how careful you are.

We always get better results cleaning a higher-end car, such as an Tesla, which is mostly because of the quality materials Tesla uses in assembling their cars.
Just like anything else in life, with cars you get what you pay for. In this case, you pay more for an Tesla than you’d pay for most cars, but you get much better, and more durable finishings.
Quick side note: Many car owners expect an interior in such condition to come out clean with “just a quick vacuum”. This is never the case. Aside from a thorough and extensive vacuuming, the carpets need to be shampooed, otherwise the improvement is minimal at best.
In this particular case, the client followed my advice, and chose the appropriate cleaning package.
A few hours of solid and meticulous cleaning, and my client’s Tesla Model X is completely transformed…
The interior is now spotless — dirt and debris gone. It also smells fresh.
The exterior has regained its true colour, and it looks (almost) like a brand new car.
