Case Study: 2018 Porsche Panamera 4
Today’s case study is a 2018 Porsche Panamera 4, in Dolomite Silver Metallic.
This car belongs to a good clients of mine, who is a top wealth advisor for people with a net worth in the high eight figures.
He is very careful when it comes to the cleanliness of his car, because he considers it an integral part of his image. As a result, we see the car for a thorough cleaning almost every month.

Quite typical for European cars, the wheels had a ton of brake dust, which made the rims look almost black instead of silver.

Just like anything else in life, with cars you get what you pay for. In this case, you pay more for a Porsche than you’d pay for most cars, but you get much better, and more durable finishings.

The “impossible” carpet, with a Velcro-like texture
If your car has such “impossible” carpet, it may not come completely clean and debris-free, no matter how much effort the car cleaner is putting into it.
This wasn’t the case here, as Porsche typically use higher quality materials than most other car makers.
A few hours of solid and meticulous cleaning, and my client’s Porsche Panamera is now cleaner than before…
The interior is now spotless — dust and smudges gone. It also smells fresh.
The exterior is nice and shiny, and it looks (almost) like a brand new car.
When a car is cleaned regularly, it maintains its looks, and is as pleasurable to drive as on day-one.
But when neglected, and not cleaned for a long time (whatever the reason), a car reaches a “point of no return” when, no matter how intensive, cleaning alone is not sufficient anymore to bring the car back to its former beauty.
