Case Study: 2018 Mercedes S460 4MATIC
Today’s case study is a 2018 Mercedes S460 4MATIC, in Lunar Blue Metallic.
The car belongs to a new client, who’s been referred to us by his daughter. The daughter herself has been using our service for the past 3 years.

The owner is retired, and uses the car almost daily, but mostly for short trips in the city, and the occasional Sunday drive up the Sea-to-Sky highway. They also have another car in the family, which his wife drives almost exclusively.
Although in overall good shape, this Mercedes S-Class hasn’t been professionally cleaned in years. And coming out of a long Winter now, it needed a thorough clean quite badly.
Having had a bad experience with another company in the past, the owner was reluctant to try our service at first. He felt, like many other people, that all car cleaning companies are the same. And he didn’t mean it in a flattering way…

The exterior was so dirty after the last highway trip, that it took two washes to get rid of all the road salt. By the way, if left on the paint for too long, road salt causes corrosion and decay. Just look at older cars from Alberta or Northern BC.
After the cleaning, the exterior has regained its true colour, and it looks (almost) like a brand new car. It also has a low-key shine, just enough to complement the good looks of this model.

Then it was time to take care of the interior.
When you spend time in a car, even if just by yourself, some dirt gets dragged inside, no matter how careful you are.

Quick side note: Many car owners expect an interior in such condition to come out clean with “just a quick vacuum”. This is never the case. Aside from a thorough and extensive vacuuming, the carpets need to be shampooed, otherwise the improvement is minimal at best.
