The car belongs to a new client, who found us through one of his friends.

The owner was looking for a way to maintain his beloved Tesla in great condition, having been disappointed in the past by the lack of performance from various car washes.
Like a lot of other car owners, he tried to do most of the work himself at first.
He bought an assortment of car care products and enthusiastically set out to clean the car.
However, as he quickly realized, cleaning a car properly is hard work.
And having to do that in the evening or the weekend, when he had time off, was downright unpleasant and frustrating.
And so he got discouraged and abandoned all the newly purchased car care products. The only maintenance cleaning that was still bearable to him was the occasional drive-through car wash.
When he got to me, my client had owned this Tesla Model 3 SR+ for over a year and the lack of proper cleaning was starting to show.
The interior glass was all streaky and hazy, making it especially difficult to see at night, not to mention unsafe.
The entire dashboard and interior panels were covered in dust, and starting to look gray instead of deep black.
The leather seats had accumulated a layer of oily grime, from everyday driving, and looked greasy and blotchy.
Even the exterior of the car had lost its factory shine, because a thin dirt film was still left on even after going through a touchless car wash.

The exterior was in pretty good condition, since this Tesla Model 3 SR+ is only about one year old.
However, the best way to preserve it in good condition in the first place is to have the paint protected with a ceramic-based paint protection product. This creates a strong glass-like film on the car paint, which acts as a “sacrificial barrier” against bird poo, acid rain, fallout, bug splatter, and hard water spots.
It now looks brighter and shinier than when it was brand new, at it’s also protected for up to 2 years. Also, it doesn’t require any special maintenance other than a thorough cleaning every 4 to 6 months.

When you spend time in a car, even if just by yourself and the occasional passenger, dirt gets dragged inside no matter how careful you are.
The owner only uses the car with his wife, and they don’t have any pets.

Quick side note: Many car owners expect an interior in such condition to come out clean with “just a quick vacuum”. This is never the case. Aside from a thorough and extensive vacuuming, the carpets need to be shampooed, otherwise the improvement is minimal at best.
In this particular case, the client followed my advice, and chose the appropriate cleaning package.

We always get better results cleaning a higher-end car, such as a Tesla, which is mostly because of the quality materials Tesla uses in assembling their cars.
Just like anything else in life, with cars you get what you pay for. In this case, you pay more for a Tesla than you’d pay for most cars, but you get much better, and more durable finishings.
The interior is now spotless — dirt and debris gone. It also smells fresh.
